thought id put my new battery on my scorp today ... after the alarms stopped going off, and everything else settled down, i thought "that wasnt to bad"... and then i switched the radio on to put the code in .. All i got was a blank screen?? everything lights up as it should , the screen is lit up , but it is blank... nothing at all on it .
i keyed in the code to see if it worked but it stays blank... nothing happens ..
iv never put a code in one of these before .. its a 7000 RDS EON... what have i done wrong ??? it was working fine untill i took the battery off ??

Hi this appears to be a common problem with these radios, the LCD fails. Some people have had some success restoring it by removing the radio and storing it in a nice warm place, like an airing cupboard, overnight.

Entering the code is easy, there are manuals HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/2007hbook.htm). But you do need to be aware that if the code has been entered incorrectly a couple of times it will lock you out for half an hour before allowing you to re-enter the code.

thanks you lot.. looks like the heat thing worked, took it for a good drive with heaters full on, parked it up and 30 mins later i got in and all worked fine, again many thanks
