Hello again folks ,I have a 98 2.3 ghia and would like to fit front fog lights to it .At the present I just have the normal indicator/reflector units ,can anyone tell me ,if I get a set of fogs from a fmd or breakers yard will they fit and are the wires there for it or is it a re-wire job. Thanks in advance for the replies folks ...david

The two things I know about the fogs is that they will fit into the standard bumper and you can use the original headlamp switch if you remove the little clip from behind it so you can pull it out. I'm not sure if the loom is there though, even if it is you'll need to add an extra fuse/relay...could become an electrical nightmare.

The wiring is there for the fogs, but as Bruce says u may need a relay, you will also need the light switch.

You will also require different indicator units, the o/s indicator unit is no longer available from Ford. I was lucky enough to source one through Ford parts uk.

youll need the light switch and 2 relays

a white relay thats under the steering wheel, and theres a brown one in the main fuse box

Thanks for the help folks ,If the weather is better the weekend I will check out the relays and wires .Regarding the light switch the one I have you pull out to activate the rear fog lights ,could front and rear work of this switch or are they turned on seperately ?

The front and rear work via the same switch, it just pulls out with two clicks. In other words the one switch operates park, headlights, front fog and rear fog.

Dont the switches on the cars without front foglights only pull out once for the rear fogs?

I thought there was a 'c clip' on the rear of the switch stopping it being pulled out the second stop???
