morning all, my 98 cossie ultima has a whine while accelerating in all gears unless i turn the heater off then it completely dissapears, any ideas? ta

hi there

does that not point to the heater fan(s)? ???

take the hbc out and spray a little wd40 down on to the fans.

Does the level of whine vary with the engine speed, if yes it sounds more like an AC compressor / pulley problem.
