had an oil leak around the housing of the cam chain adjuster. could not get the right gasket so made one. how do i correctly set the adjuster for the correct toughtness. i know there is a allen key hole but have wound the adjuster down to refit the housing and need to no how far to wind it up. also ford seem to have stop doing spares for a BOA engine, why?

you just release the spring tension, its the oil pressure that adjusts the chain tension.

around the bottom out side dimeter of the telecopic spigot was there an 'o' ring or was there just remains of a broken gasket around the circlip.

i have only just found this site and the wealth of experience is fantastic
