the remote function has started to not work ; i am sure it isnt the remote keyfob ....I have x2 others that work perfectly on another scorpio but they wont program on the one that's giving trouble.

also the keyfob that appears not to work ,can be programmed and works on another scorpio

i know the programming sequence well so its not that

ive obviously done basics batteries buttons have new rubber keypad compound on them...then springs into life...must be something within the car any ideas??????

Ford issued a TSB regarding early Scorpios which would 'forget' the remote periodically (could be once every few weeks, or several times a day!) - their answer is to replace the CCM. :-/

Hi,the CCM is located behind the glovebox and is straightforward to change.There has been a lot of posts recently on the CCM,try doing a search and you should find quite a lot of info on this.Roy.
