Hi Guys.
For now have given up on the tailgate and load light problem.
I can tell you I changed the tailgate solenoid, changed the barrel switch and latch switch.
If I turn the load light switch to on, I get nothing, if I turn it onto 2o sec it fires the tailgate solenoid. I have checked the earth/ground wire in the light this is ok, so now I am at a lose.
This after noon I took the door in the lefthand side rear panel out, there is I assume the drain pipe, then feeling about in ther I have found a small twelve pin plug/.socket.
does anyone know what this is for. The wires appear to be on the speaker, so its not that,they appears to be original as the wires are coming from the front direction, there is about a foot of wires, so it will not go far, the car has had a tow bar fitted, I thought that maybe this was the lighting wires, but this would never reach and I think the wires are to small, more like signal wires.

Sounds like a connector for the CD player which.if fitted in the estate, sits behind the trim panel on the rear nearside.
