Title: Headlamp washers not working
Post by Kjetil S on Feb 1st, 2007, 5:01pm
As the topic states, my headlamp washers doesn't work (as in doesn't pop up)

I tried them when I had one replaced this summer (one was missing a head) and they were both working great back then.

When I push the windscreen washer-button now, nothing happens (except for the windscreen getting wet ofcourse).

Any ideas? Do the headlamp washers have their own pump?

yes, and they won't pull out easily, but they do come out. I wonder if there is an extra pump for the headlamp washers that may be dead? or is there some sort of intricate valve system?

Yes they have a seperate pump, they also have a relay in the fusebox situated in the glovebox.

Okay, have finally had time to do some checking and here's what I've found:

The fuse was ok.
The relay seemed stuck. Couldn't budge it. Is there supposed to be something locking it in place?
