Title: Pulling to nearside on braking...
Post by Penguin on Feb 15th, 2007, 1:59pm
The car's developed bit of a near-side lurch on braking, centered on the near-side front wheel.  My front brakes a prety well shot anyway so I'm having them re-done next week, could there be any other cause I should have the garage check while they're doing them?

Cheers

The most common cause of pulling on the brakes are seized wheel cylinders or pistons, or pads completely worn out on one side.

if they are doing the brakes VERY soon they should check for stuck pistons etc when refitting .

If it doesn't  pull  to the left normally  when not being braked,  It's a  front  disc/caliper/pad problem.
I've heard it said that uneven  rear brakes can cause a steering pull on braking,   but  I'm   unconvinced .
