Hi guys, can anyone tell me how to set the 7000 series sound system so that the volume goes up or down automaticaly depending upon the speed of the car?

it should be automatic, there is no settings as far as i know

If you hold the MENU button in for about 10 seconds, you can then use the SEEK buttons to enable this.

Be aware that not all cars will allow this, even though the settings are there. I think it depends on the age of the car (how it's wired), rather than the 7000RDS Unit itself.

If you look at the Manual for the RDS3000/5000 it describes how to do it in more detail.

On the 7000, if you press the menu button a couple of times (no need to hold it...well not on mine anyway), it should come up with AVC on the screen.

Usually it's set on +3 (default), but you can adjust it using the seek buttons :)

Job done! Thanks guys. Got AVC and set it to level 7.
When I next get in the beast I will try it out. Probably when I leave work tonight.........or when I can escape :D

By the way, If you like good rock music, you wont go far wrong by tuning to 675 medium wave. Its a dutch radio station called Arrow rock radio. The ads are all in dutch but cos I dont understand a word, It dont get on me t*ts ;)

this is interesting, does my 2007 do this? i've noticed the volume sometimes goes up and down, but havent related it to speed....
