Hello all!!!
I'm French so excuse me if my enlish is not perfect! lol!
So i recently do the acquisition of a Ford Scorpio 1996 model.
I'm very happy but i want to change the autoradio.
On series it a 5000 Rds but it's not the Cd Changer.
I want buy a 6006 E RDS with 6 CD changer on façade, but i want keep the steering wheel control (sound etc...)
But Can I do this without do modification?
The Connection and other are OK?

Hi,this is fully compatible with steering wheel controls.Just a straight swap over,no modifications needed. :)Roy.

[] have looked into this my other half has a 2003 mondeo with this radio fitted. when my radio was playing up i was going to nick it. according to a friend i know that is good with this sort of thing, he said it is a straight swop.

The Ford 6000 (single cd) is a straight swap, BUT the Ford 6006 (6 cd) is a swap power/speaker wise but the steering control doesn't fit. neither does the external 6 disc cd player.

Can I buy or not? ???
Have you an experience of this sort?
If I buy the 6006 E, am i sure to can use it?
What sort of modification i must to do?
Because the steering wheel control is foresee
to control CD changer but perhaps not a integrate changer?

Hi,I have done a lot of checking on the web and as far as I can see these units do not compromise power wise the wiring in the Scorp.This is one that is being sold on ebay at the moment ,have a look and see what you think.

I've got one in my scorp and yes it will fit no-problemo :) but im afraid it wont work with the steering controls :( its been asked before about how to connect it to the steering controls but there was never a definate answer...

I had to trim back one of the guides on the speaker connecter in order for it to seat properly when plugged into the back of the unit, other than that its a straight swap.

Ho it's so bad!
If i take the 6006 it's for can continue to used the steering control!
If i can't continue to used the steering control i take a reducer for take my other clarion autoradio for read MP3 and WMA cds!
but i don't know the price for the reducer and the conections!

Hello!
Finally i wan to buy a CD Changer because it's very low coast compared at the 6006!
But in ebay.co.uk i have find the 6 CD changer but i have find too, the SONY for FORD 10 CD changer!!!! :o
So i don't now if it's compatible with the 5000 RDS. I know the 6cd changer is compatible but not the 10....
Can you help me please because the 10 cd changer interrest me!!!!

I think you will find that the Sony 10 disc is a 13 pin din connector and that you will need an adaptor to interface with your existing plug.Roy.

lachapel, try this site, http://www.addacdchanger.co.uk/Ford_MP3_Changer_%28PACK_1_-_Alpine%29, this will keep your head unit and the cd unit will be in the boot away from thieving eyes. You also get to keep the stalk controls etc.

But i can't, it's very too expensive!!!!!
perhaps i can find on ebay (a MP3) not too expensive....
