Title: RE: My break in.

You may remember my Scorp was broken into two weeks ago on the friday morning..

Well it took untill thursday to get a window glass fitted by Autowindscreens ( ok there was a bank holiday but that's a long time to wait! )

I managed to find a lower dash but it was in black ( does not look to bad though ) and lower cowling. Bertie gave me a trip switch that works better than the original :D cheers..

And the police have been round today..

Turns out My nextdoor neigbours nephew who lives with them had been out on on the lash. 3L of white lightening!! He does not remember anything but says that he can't deny it as forensics tie up and he had cuts on his hands next morning.

We have never had any issues with the guy, hes always polite. The officer says he's employed ( so not a dosser ) and seemed genuinly embarrassed about the situation.

We may get an apollogy possibly, not much chance of any recompence.

But at least it's a resolution, and I know that I don't have to keep worrying.

TT

At least you've had a result.

You never know, the sheer embarrasment might be enough to persuade him sort it out with you in a man like manner. Let's hope so.  ;)

I have to say it's quite a relife.

His downfall was a previous caution for Drunk and Disorderly so he's not on their wanted radar. If he had been done for petty crime previousl I would be worried!

TT,

Nice to hear your cars sorted, and you found the culprit....

BUT....

I'd be expecting / making sure he paid for the damage, time and inconvenience.  Otherwise next time he has 3 litres of white lightning what will happen !

If he's working he can give you a fiver a week or whatever until it's paid for.

And what the hell is wrong with the Police....He's been warned before for being drunk, so why aren't they doing him for Criminal Damage at the very least ???

Sorry but I dont think I'd be letting it go there mate!!  ;)

Regards Dave
