Over the last few weeks I have had problems with the alarm going off for no apparent reason. It used to be just when locking the car with the door key and after 20 seconds or so the alrm would go off until I unlocked it and re-locked with the fob. Now its happening even if I lock it with the fob. This is driving me crazy as I can't secure the care anymore!
Anyone got any ideas as I know very little about the Scorpio alarm system?
2.0L Ulitma 1994.

hi there

most of those types of issues are down to the bonnet switch.

also the alarm horn is behind the battery, if you need to disconnect it for the time being.

Just been out to have a look and I'll be d**ned I never noticed it before! I have checked it with a meter and it switches fine though I've cleaned up the connector anyway. Just locked it and my fingers are crossed. Cheers!

Thanks for the advice, S-Man! The same thing was happening to mine, and a quick clean of the bonnet switch has solved it.

I forgot to report back. Erratic alarm has stopped after cleaning switch and connector contacts. Thanks S-Man! Must agree 'mikesmount', forum is great!
