Title: Cossie ashtray lightbulb replacement Post by Cosray - The Hague - Holland on Jul 4th, 2007, 10:45pm Seems a trivial thing - an ashtray light for a non-smoker. However the lightbulb needs replacing - and it looks like I am having to dismantle the complete dash to get there... Can't find a drawing nor instruction anywhere - mindboggling. Does anyone have a suggestion? Looking forward Ray |

Title: Re: Cossie ashtray lightbulb replacement Post by Cosray - The Hague - Holland on Jul 4th, 2007, 11:05pm Wow Bobs - you must be a better fiddler than me... ;D The only opening I could find is somewhere under the cigarlighter receptacle - but then what & how? Does the lightbulholder slide off? In what direction? To the front? or down? How can I pick it up? It must come up and out somehow to replace the bulb, mustn't it? Ray |

Title: Re: Cossie ashtray lightbulb replacement Post by bobs505050 on Jul 4th, 2007, 11:13pm Take out the ashtray inner there it a hole in left corner the bit behind the green plastic in the tray the hard part is getting two fingers to twist the tube that the bulb is in try one finger through hole and another from back of ashtray you will see wire etc leading to bulb its just one of those reall stupid jobs that either takes two mins or five hours getting the bulb back in is harder than getting it out as you have to locate the tube that it fits in also you have to twist tube otherwise bulb will not light |
