Finally got my air con sorted out on Saturday morning (just in the nick of time) & it's lovely & cool ;D

Problem is...with the fan control knob set to manual, when I turn the vent selector on the C/C panel to windscreen, the air con doesn't automatically come on. Isn't it supposed to come on by default if this is selected ?....I'm sure it used to :-/

Checked for codes on the C/C panel & there are no fault codes.

It's not really a problem pressing the button to switch the air con on, but it would be nice to have it working perfectly :)

Are you sure! The A/C Light does NOT illuminate when the flow control is round to the far right ( Windscreen) The only way to check is to lift the bonnet and lok at the compressor whenits unning see if it is engaged.
ALSO it cannot be turned off at the panel either when in this position .

If you set the dial to " Manual " then all the default settings don't work.

They only work on the " Auto " setting. ( I think :-/ )

Just to confirm that Snoopy is right ;)

With the air con off & fan speed set to manual, when turning the vent selector to the far right (windscreen) the compressor indeed does come on, but the green air con light does not illuminate :)....although I'm sure it used to :-/

So it would appear to be working perfectly :D
