Title: Airbag light
Post by merseyscorp on Aug 10th, 2007, 11:44pm
My airbag warning light has been coming on lately on some journeys, but hasn't appeared for a few days? also that blasted ABS light is also occasionally rearing its ugly head, although after cleaning the sensors, I've just put it down to the bad weather we've had. Any idea's ???

cheers. I've just read the fault finder and learned that the fuse could be faulty as it has come on with the ABS light and flashes 3 times( both airbags faulty), but will give dash a thump tomorrow! MOT time on the 3rd along with nail in a tyre. >:(

The airbag light can lit also if you have a loose connection under your butt.
;D

The seatbelts have the automatic tightening mechanism
and (in a case of accident, they explode and squeeze you
into the seats)
it's hooked into the airbag warning light. So if it for some
reason becomes loose, it will turn the airbag light on. I had
that cause I had another seat in my  car for a sec and
forgot to put all the plugs in. The light was blinking.

Just an idea you could have a look at after banging your
dash.
