Title: REAR LIGHT CLUSTER
Post by STUTET74 on Sep 10th, 2007, 2:49pm
I have a 98 Mondeo saloon and need to change to light cluster on the boot, do I need one from a 98 onwards model or will any one do.
Also mine, even though its a 98 model has crome on it like the older ones, is this normal?
On the plus side, having a towbar fitted  on Friday probably saved the car from a severe beating after a punto ran straignt into the back of me and i only have this lighting damaged.

Sounds like you have the pre-facelift model, so rear light clusters should be a plenty  ;)

The facelift model has different rear light clusters (no chrome) & are quite rare to find second hand & tend to be a bit more pricey  :)

Hi, any light with the chrome will fit, the facelift light will fit also but will need a bit of rewiring.

I assume your 98 model was late registered and is actually a pre facelift build or possibly has had the lights changed before to the earlier type?

PM me your reg no and i'll check your build date
