Title: Re: ER FELLAS LOCKED KEYS IN CAR Post by Highlander on Sep 17th, 2007, 10:04pm Snoopy knows a way to get in without damaging anything, i wonder since the bonnet is up if there is a way to bridge a wire and open doors, windows, sunroof or the boot?? Possibly a 12v feed into one of the terminals of the electric window relay would open a window? Will have a look |

Title: Re: ER FELLAS LOCKED KEYS IN CAR Post by Highlander on Sep 17th, 2007, 10:16pm Right, i think if you run a wire from the +ve terminal (with an inline fuse preferrably) to one of the relay terminals for the elec windows then you should be able to open it... The relay should show a diagram explaining the switching so you can find the correct one. I'm assuming the power for the windows goes to the door switches then returns to the relay then carries on to the window motor therfore the live feed should effectively bypass the switch? Heres the relay layout http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/central_fusebox.gif R12 = rear door locks Or you can wait for old Grumpy to come on ;) |

Title: Re: ER FELLAS LOCKED KEYS IN CAR Post by mr._floppy on Sep 18th, 2007, 1:13am On my old Audi if you took out or replaced the relevant fuse it would lock/unlock the central locking. Worth jiggering about with No.22 fuse ( central locking ) in the central fuse box ( Drivers side ). Or, No. 26 fuse ( front windows ) in the central fuse box |
