Title: electrical problem no headlights,wipers and inicat Post by keithtcs on Sep 29th, 2007, 12:10am hi can anyone sheed some light on my problem that started this evening on my 1995 2.9 24v est?? all was working well till i washed and waxed the car we also have had a lot of rain here in essex today to i thought all was well till about an hour ago i got in to drive i put the headlights on they just didn't work i also checked all the other electrics while sitting in the car and found the wipers won't work and also the indicators (although hazards work fine ) everything else seems to work ??? faults are below no headlights no front wiper no indicators i guess they must be related i have checked every fuse in both boxes under the bonnet can anyone shed some light on my problem ???? or has anyone else experiniced a simular thing help me please regards Keith |

Title: Re: electrical problem no headlights,wipers and in Post by bertie on Sep 29th, 2007, 12:39am hiya mate. have you checked the connector at the main fuse box, drivers side? its not a push fit, it needs to locate into 2 pegs then clicks down with the spring clip. or worse still, have you checked for water in the main fusebox? hth simon |

Title: Re: electrical problem no headlights,wipers and in Post by keithtcs on Sep 30th, 2007, 6:37pm hi simmo it was the multi plug on the main fuse box.i had removed it earlier when unblocking the drain hole i thought i had put it back ok as it seemed to locate ok but i hadn't locked in the retaining pins before fitting from a few threads i read seems like i'm not the first ha ha thanks again Keith |
