Hi yes another lil problem, i keep taking my car back to the garage as my wheels make a horrible noise when i brake, ive had new brake pads and other things done to them but they are still doing it, its embarrasing

Maybee they forgot/couldnt be bothered to smear a little copper grease to the rear of the pads ???.Do these have anti squeal shims ??? ???

some cheap pads do squeal quite a bit, give the calipers a blast with an air hose and see if the problem goes away short term, then comes back. if so, its the brake dust from the pads......

I agree with tintin.
When I was taught at college (many moons ago I may add) changing pads or shoes involved a lot of cleaning. We were always told to pay particular attention to the build up of loose rust round the circumfrence of the disc.
I have witnessed on many occasions that getting a garage to change pads meant exactly that and no more. In other words no copper grease or cleaning of any description.
