Hi i have looked through this site but cant find how to remove the heater blower motor (mine is not working) also bought a cd from ebay but it is mainly for a garage not for the diy bloke? (loads of stuff but usless to me)
your advice is greatly received.

Try this. Looks harder than it is. Mine didn't have the difficult screw in (never had).

Thanks, but do you have to cut in to it? or can the whole thing be removed??

Have you read THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/hbctest.htm)before pulling the thing apart. ?. If your car is fitted with a different type of HBC, one with three coils, there is a fix for that. The one shown,if defective, needs replacing.Just don't ring Fords for a new one...not good for the wallet or blood pressure!.

Right on the HBC at the control side i have 1.9V at low and 4.9V at full the fan output i have 10.9V at low and 12V at full also 12V + input but still no fan??.
sound like the fan and the HBC could be faulty?

Yes you do have to cut it, but it isn't as serious as it sounds and a piece of tape after reassembly seals it adequately. The alternative is removal of the whole heater unit from the inside.
