Title: Re: rear lights Post by harry.m1byt on Nov 17th, 2007, 8:20am Also check the wires around the boot hinge for possible fraying. The wires run along the right hand side in the actual hinge frame, covered by a plastic cap. Frequent movement of the hinge can cause the wires to fray. |

Title: Re: rear lights Post by harry.m1byt on Nov 17th, 2007, 8:33am Just noticed your mention of warning lights glowing... I don't think that could be caused by the boot hinge wiring, apart from maybe the 'boot open' warning light. Take another look at the fuse boxes - moisture can get trapped between their PCB's and I suspect they might appear still perfectly dry under the covers. You need to get that battery on charge ASAP. |

Title: Re: rear lights Post by peteHull on Nov 17th, 2007, 10:22am Hi There, Check this page out, you will see the fusebox is made up of various layers of circuits, just like a very large IC chip made from brass tracks sandwiched between nylon insulators.... Very complicated http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/fusebox.htm And this http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/fusebox2.htm That will keep you busy for a night... :D hth Pete |

Title: Re: rear lights Post by deconick on Nov 18th, 2007, 1:59pm wiggled wires, relays & fuses so brake lights are back to normal,i guess its dampness in the fuse box so maybe a fuse box srip down and clean in the near future. |
