Hello all

First thing, I'm new here and just recently (a few weeks ago) I bought a Scorpio, 2.3 Ultima, manual P reg 1997 with low mileage. Fantastic car!

Now there is a problem I just encountered yesterday with the 7000 RDS radio unit. Whilst I was cleaning dust of the fascia, dashboard etc, radio was working fine, well CD was playing, then I turned it off, whilst cleaning with a dry cloth. When finished, I turned the button on and..... nothing, no display units, no radio, no CD, nothing was working. Just a soft low fuzzy sound, when the car is on.
I took the security panel off and put back on again and still nothing. I Hope its not dead, because it was working fine yesterday.
Whats happened? anyone here experienced the same thing?

hi marc very common fault with 7000-best thing too do is bin it-replace it with anotherone-or go for 5000 rds far more robust unit-got both for sale if interested £40-£30 respectivley.
