Title: Steering Wheel Cover Loose Post by panther on Feb 10th, 2008, 8:25pm I noticed that the cover, under which lurks the air bag, is loose. I found some screws at the rear but the only effect i achieved when trying to tighten them was to set off the horn and it was stuck! After I thumped it I got it to stop. Is there some sort of clip? Anyone else had similar probs? |

Title: Re: Steering Wheel Cover Loose Post by Highlander on Feb 10th, 2008, 10:30pm Nope, only two, one either side. Has it just come loose or has it always been like that? or is it a new car to you? When you say loose, does it come off completely?? |

Title: Re: Steering Wheel Cover Loose Post by Simmo on Feb 11th, 2008, 7:45am All the detail you need is Here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/airbagmanual.htm). Read the link for the drivers airbag and also the clock spring if appropriate. The removal diagram shows how to access the two torx screws by turning the wheel . Best to try and avoid doing this with the full weight of the car on the tyres as it does the power steering no good. Try raising the front or putting the wheels on newspaper to decrease the friction. |
