The bill has just crested £2800 to fix the Scorpio apparently, so it seems I was right to fear a Write-off. They have offered a measly £1100 as a payout..2 owner from new, mint condition, full Ford service history etc..I am holding out for more...Not sure if I'll go down the Scorpio route again, i've had 3, I just don't think I'll find another as nice as my last..might go Rover 75 tourer or Omega..a bit low at the mo..I have retained certain parts, inc an SCP private plate, NOS nearside headlight...oh, I won't bore you with details if the worst comes to the worst I'll list the lot in the proper place.

thought as much. i'd try and hold out for some more money (£1500+), but as it's a fault claim, they might not budge. :(
