The multiplug connector on the back of the panel may have come loose  :)

The details are HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/fasciabulbs.htm). The unit is held in by four spring clips which need to be depressed before it will come out. There are two on the top and two underneath. An old credit card or similar is a good 'tool'. There is a small plastic 'tang on the right hand side, the end with the heated screen buttons, and you need to ease the facia out and to the left in order to avoid breaking it.  Don't be confused by the diagram as, if you look carefully, you will see it is for a left hand drive set up. Just take your time. The connector on the back should have clips on to secure it in position and is on the end of a wide ribbon cable.
