I just poured it in neat.  Started and ran fine during warmer weather but not so good on cold mornings (only for the first 30 seconds or so).

if the weather is slightly colder then sunflower oil is better as its slightly thinner than veg oil, but you can use it neat, the scorp has a fuel pre heater and as long as the pump is bosch not lucas then it should be fine, mine has been. take care not to get it on the paintwork though as its a bu**er to get off. i've noticed no difference in performance but it does tend to wiff a bit....

The SVO price has soared of late so not a great time to switch   :'( I'm using the last of my 56p per ltr Pura from Tesco and will hopefully have switched over to WVO before it runs out. I'd buy as much as you can at 60p!!
I thin mine with 10 % unleaded petrol for the winter months and it's been starting fine with only a slightly lumpy idle on the colder days. Will probably drop to 5% when it warms up before working towards 100% WVO for the summer. As far as I'm aware, all the Scorpios used bosh pumps so you should be okay. Have a look for any markings to tell you what's on it.

Cheers Jim

Lucas/CAV pumps have a large octagonal plug on the side of the pump.  Bosch ones don't.  AFAIK, only Bosch pumps were used on the Scorpio, unlike the smaller diesels fitted to the Mondeo and Escorts...

The Scorpios love veggie  :) The only thing to be aware of is that you might have problems with the fuel filter clogging up as the veg oil loosens all the accumulated crap in the fuel tank. I'd advise carrying a spare filter in the car, once the crap has come though (if there's any there) then it should be regular intervals for the fliter changes after that.
Cuzza, I'd love to know where your Macro is... mine is currently about £16 for 20 ltrs of KTC veg oil   :(

Cheers Jim
