as i was driving on the motorway i noticed the temp gauge
suddenly drop it was in the middle round town then as i drove faster it dropped to just over the blu at the same time the od light came on and the gearbox got erratic when i got home turned everything off then on the light had gone off once it had cooled down the auto box was normal again ??? :(

stevie.
Try changing your temp sender unit,although that wont affect the gearbox.It may be coincidence that two faults appeared together,or tatty wiring.

The low temp guage on the motorway & normal in town probably means the thermostat is stuck open :)
