hi
stupid question time
im in the process of installing a new wiring loom engine/gearbox all the guides say drop the gearbox in laymans terms what does this mean

meatman.
Put a small jack under it and remove the crossmember and tie bar.You can then just about lower it enough to replace the loom.

thanks for that GOZZ do i also need to disconnect the drive shaft or is that all i have to do i have hands like 10 lb hams so need reasonable clearance to work

No need to remove the prop,just lower the heatshield a bit,easy job,handscrews.
