Title: parasols an such
Post by eau_de_cologne on Jun 26th, 2008, 7:49pm
The drawing for the mt75 on this site is for a transit, which is about as much use as a parasol in a snowstorm. Have we got a better picture anywhere else? ::)

the MT 75 gearbox is HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/mt75.htm)
AFAIK the same gear box is used in a LARGE range of FORD vehicles so the same picture does ALL
The whole gearbox manual is HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/mantrans.htm)
as supplied to us by FORD ( Europe)

Hi Snoopy
I wonder why Ford gave us a drawing for a Transit box rather than a 2ltr dohc which is a more generic box. It dosn't state it's a transit box yet has all the information for Scorpio boxes beneath it and I have to admit it had me confused for a while, till I went down the local scrappy to have a look at one.
The only reason I thought it might be a transit box is that I've driven them and had a fair idea of the arrangement.
What I'm was after is clearer drawing of the lay shaft, you should be able to remove the inner roller bearing race, the only way to remove that it seems is to pull the final drive gear off and it's that I want to achieve since that would be a quick way of releasing the input shaft.
I was hoping another drawing would help. :-/
