hi
putting my engine back together after wiring loom problems
got all the injector wiring sorted and labeled up 1-6
am i right in thinking the sequence to the injector rail from the bulkhead should be 6-3-5-2-4-1.

THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/engdata24v.htm) may help. Certainly the firing order is 1-4-2-5-3=6.

thanks for that simmo
on holiday for the next 2 weeks so starting today im gonna get her flying with a little help from you guys.
i am just double checking before i put all the loom connectors back into place.
can somebody please explain in laymans terms where i plug the injector connectors to i have them labeled up correctly 1-6 as per colour coding of wires.
am i right in thinking looking from the front of the car and putting the plugs back into the fuel injection rail

no 1 goes to bottom left
no 4 goes to bottom right
no 2 goes to centre left
no 5 goes to centre right
no 3 goes to top left
no 6 goes to top right

my brain is in frazzled mode and i cant think straight at the moment
last time i fitted the plugs i got it into my head no 1 cylinder was bottom right which after putting everything back together resulted in what i can only describe as a popcorn factory on fire when i tried to restart her

You're on the right track from what I can see 8)

I am just on my way in to investigate a horrible knocking sound on my 24V

meatman, perhaps you can help me ??? Can you remember how you removed THIS (http://www.x100p.co.uk/bsp.jpg) brake servo pipe from the inlet plenum  ???
I don't want to use unecessary force and damage the plastic  :(

You just push the plastic collar inwards to release the latch and carefully pull the pipe out of the orifice...
