I have got one hell of a knock in the engine [top end] now and I am going to have to strip the top end down to investigate ~ can anyone point me to a good set of instructions with pics or drawings for completely dimantling and removing the inlet manifold.

I have a few more pics of HH where shal I post them  ???

What engine is it?

ALL the data can be found here on this page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/index2.htm) and there is a search facility at the bottom of the page to help .

You can find a strip down and rebuild of the 24v on You Tube - genuine Ford training videos no less !
I found it one nighshift when things were quiet...

Thanks Andrew, Yeah my cossie has just developed this horrible knocking sound in sympathy with the engine revs - god knows what I am going to find.  But as I go in this octopus looks like a jig saw puzzle to me and I wondered if there existed a set of dis/re-assembly instructions on the site covering this job?

Cheers and Hi Dave - you well ?

Hi Got there! That's exactly what I was looking for thanx A.
Yeah the car did sound good at HH but today I drove to the Metrocentre in Gateshead 'Angel of the North' territory which is just 10 miles or so away from my house for a spot pf shopping with my wife and on the way back the car started misbehavng itself. I stopped so that my wife could post a birthday card and the car would hardly start it did eventualy and Iit hobbled the last half mile home. The car was sick! and so was I.
Scorpio_Mike Thanx for your input I have seen that BOA on You Tube and I rate it very highly pity Ford didn't do one for the BOB.
Thanks to all I will report back the results of my investigational work  8)
I have been very pre-occupied by these start up rattles for months!
I hope...........
CU in a bit :o

hi there

remember to take carefull note of where everything came from.

write down the wiring order to the injectors as it's common to put them back on incorrectly.

Me again - I thought I'd check the routing of the HT leads  before removing them and I found THIS... (http://www.x100p.co.uk/edis6.html)
didn't look correct to me,   :-/  :-/

The numbers indicate which plug each lead ends up at
1-2-3 looks loigcal but 5-6-4  ???
