Title: Lights with a life of their own ! Post by PeteB on Jul 16th, 2008, 10:31pm Topic sums it up when i open my doors front lights come on (nifty feature eh), full beam refuses to work yet I can flash ? When I try to put the fogs on I get a funny whining noise from the light switch. Could this just be the light switch giving me grief or do you think its the fuse box ? Oddly enough upon lifting the bonnet the battery cover has been put back on incorrectly when serviced ! The moron has only covered the battery and not the auxilary fuse box. So if it is the fuse box in question can I source a second hand one and will it be easy to fit ? Many Thanks ! Pete |

Post by Simmo on Jul 17th, 2008, 6:41am Pete, If Stuarts' 'switch' does not cure it try warming the fusebox with a hair dryer before thinking of removing it. It is a reasonably easy job to do it BUT go for the simple choice first. Just hope it is the switch. ;) |

Title: Re: Lights with a life of their own ! Post by PeteB on Jul 18th, 2008, 12:24pm Well tried the switch and no luck :( although after poking around I found the problem ! A faulty relay was causing it, odd though as I thought if the relay was broken the lights would not have worked at all ? Cheers All Pete |
