Title: No Front Lights?
Post by hopper on Jul 23rd, 2008, 8:27pm
Hi Ladies & Gents.

I now have no font lights of any description, side, dipped, or main beam no flash also, no fog lights either.
There are no fuses blown and i cannot see 1 relay that maybe responsible. has anyone had a similar experience and hopefully was it cheap to repair.

Regards Hopper

Hi, possibly the light switch itself, have a look at the back of it, they melt :)

OR could be the multiplug in the drivers side fuseox?

Have you had it out recently? there are two pins at the far end of it which need to be located underneath the lugs on the fusebox before you push it home.

Just read your other post on your brake lights, sounds like dampness in the fusebox :(

Hi Highlander,

You were right about the multiplug connector not sitting in the box correctly, once located under the lugs the lights miracully came back on thanks for the quick response that has saved me a great deal of stress and money. Unfortunately the brake light issue appears to be abit more involved both fuse boxes are completely dry and the drain holes are unplugged. with both ABS fuses removed the brake lights work as normal but no ABS to assist in a crisis, my driving has been altered to compensate.

Try under the back seat where the loom runs along the sill and up into the boot area, this is a favorite spot for the wiring to get chaffed, also the boot hinges, especially on the estate
