hi

i have a 2.3 ultima estate with a auto box a4lde. i have a problem where it will not lock down. i have spoken to a local gearbox man and he said it is more likely to be electrical but he is not sure until he has it.

it could be the torque convertor, he has ruled this out because it doesnt bang on lock down this is why he thinks it is electrical.

if anyone has had this problem and knows of a fix please let me know

Firstly, have you cleaned the MAF ?
Simple job and often overlooked - can be all that is required for this type of issue.

Also check ATF level and colour / smell.

haha dad il drop it off tomorrow and il pick up at 12 hope to have it all fixed by then
