Title: Rain stopped play yet again Timing Chain job Post by grandadman on Aug 21st, 2008, 2:43pm Hi folks, I am about to give up doing this job http://www.x100p.co.uk/RAIN AGAIN.jpg It's proving very difficult doing work under the car on my drive, and a bit worrying to say the least. I have not yet removed the sump but I have the timing cover loose but it wont come off so I can see I will have to get the car to a garage to work off a ramp...http://www.x100p.co.uk/Car_serviced_3.gif The future is not looking good :( |

Title: Re: Rain stopped play yet again Timing Chain job Post by martin_rowe on Aug 21st, 2008, 5:12pm Sumps dead easy to remove, get car up on couple of axle stands, undo engine mtgs, steering column, either use an engine support beam, or you could put a jack under front of crank, remove front frame bolts, frame will then drop enough to access & remove sump. |
