Code 57 is related to hte HBC which is the heater blower control module ..
Try a couple more resets it can clear but if not then a new or a replacement HBC is required .
Really easy DIY job see previous posts HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=display;num=1219157999) formore advice  and also the main web site which carries a wealth of info but HERE IS A START (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/hbctest.htm)

I sometimes a get the 57 code - normally after driving over speed humps so assume it is a bad connection somewhere. I just reset it and it's fine for a few weeks.

The HBC uses the aircon fan to keep cool so if your fan is intermittent then you are likely to get a code.
A problem with this system is that that the HBC will be at its hottest when it’s keeping the fan at its slowest speed.
If the fan is a bit stiff it may stall at low speed causing the HBC to overheat.
