i have a scorpio 2.5 tdi estate manual will i be able to tow a trailer with a scorpio 24v saloon on it

Check your registration document and see if it has a max towing weight for your car.

As far as I can see Ford generally recommend a MAX towing weight of 2000Kg which includes the trailer, as a 24v is likely in the 1650-1750Kg range you may just be within the limit for your diesel depending on the trailer weight.

depending on what the towing weight is for your vehicle, it should be on the reg document,

It may be worth while checking the tow bar also.
they sometimes have a plate with the max towing capability fot the actual tow bar itself, This can sometimes be less than the cars max towing weight.

mind you i have towed a vauxhall omega elite with the scorp and did'nt have a problem

okay the its 24v ghia saloon and the weight is 1559 say 1500 if there is hardly any fuel in it with the trail combined weight would be near 1900 and the scorp estate can take 2000 towbar says 2000 also so if i take it easy i can pull it it home

i had a granada 24v before and it was a lovely car but auto box gave up and needed a lot of welding so broke it looking forward to getting this one home and doing the diff i will have her on the road in no time and possibly take her to the borders meet in january
