Hi guys.......
The problem i am having is that i can't open the tailgate without the remote.
The rear lock does not seem to turn with the key and now the remote seems to be failing as sometimes it opens and others it just won't.
Is there any other way of getting into the luggage area.

My car is a 2.0 Estate

Try some WD40 inside the lock and round the outside.

Some of the tailgate locks push in to unlock, some just turn the key, sounds like the key is worn or possibly the lock is seized.

does your key work in the door locks ok?

Yes the key works normally in all the locks except the tailgate.

WD40 then, I had to work on one for half an hour once but it did free off, they just dont get used, i dont use a remote for that reason
