Hi   I change the spark plugs and had a look at the gear box loom and it was not wet dry as a bone.
But i found the leads from the spark plugs was showing on the frist black box so i went to put some insirlation tape round the green wire and found the yellow one was showing as well, so i put tape right the way long but i think i will have to replace that as when i touched the wire it just feel apart each time.  ???

Sounds like you need to repair or replace it, they are a common proble on the 16v engines

Are you sure they are quoting you for the right part ?....It's called the 'Fuel Cut Off Loom' & I thought Ford had discontinued it  :-/

Maybe they do still make it ....... or maybe you just got lucky & they just happened to have one tucked away in the back of the storeroom  :)

When i called Fords and gave them the number 95XM 9H589AC they told me i had to pay for it first then they will order the loom for me and pick it the next day.
