more than 1 fuse for side lights, they are fused each side, 1 for o/s, 1 for n/s, try disconnecting cig lighter from loom, follow cable from socket to below s/wheel & disconnect there, then check all fuses, connectors on back of cig lighter can cause all sorts of lighting probs.

removed the cig lighter loom checked the fuses  still no tail lights and instrumet lights  the fuse  for the tail lights  is in the main fuse box and it is also the fuse for the indicators and brake lights  i have  brake lights and indcators but no tail lights i also found the cig lighter wiring was  melted

if you've got both front side lamps (side lamps not dim dip) then fuses will be ok, then might be best to check where the loom plugs into the bottom of the fuse box, do all other lights work, anything else strange happening.

Thank you Python but the credit must go to Snoopy who stored them from the 'Russian' site before it was closed. Glad it helped and as Stuart asks can you explain exactly which connector and where it is found for future reference.

stuart there is a multi plug connector  that has the tail lights and  number plate lights  in it  then they split up into the tail lights and to the  number plate lights  and the fuel pump on top of the tank it is at the rear of the car in the boot under the  plastic that cover the   fuel cut off and the locking loop for the boot it has 4 screws the multiplug has 5 pins just along from  the  fuel cut off button  drivers side
