Help the boot warning light is staying on all the time boot shut, It started opening its self then as been ok but lights is on.2.9 ultima 12v. is the sensoe the blue box by the lock have chcked loom on hinges no breaks, ???

Have you tried adjusting the 'pin' for the catch. It may be that it is simply not closing quite tightly enough.

had this problem on my car when i bought it, there is a micro switch clipped onto the lock catch in the bootlid and mine had simply unclipped, also controls the boot light. worth checking.

Most likely it's the wiring loom that goes into the boot lid at the right hand side hinge area.

The wires tend to fracture and fray after the boot has been opened and closed a few thousand times.

I bet your reversing lights don't work either :-/
