Title: slow flashing indicator
Post by 96Ghia on Feb 1st, 2009, 10:35am
I'm sure this is an easy one for you guys, i've had a look through other posts but not found the answer.

my indicator flash intervals are approx 1.5 seconds apart (both internally on display and externaly on the bulb).
it might be down to bad fuse but im not sure which fuse i should check/replace.

any ideas?

p.s i've had problems with the car starting and my speedo stopped responding but both have been resolved when after charging the battery (looking to get a new one is on the list).

i've just checked the hazards - they have the same problem as well and in the fuse box diagram i can see a fuse for hazards (fuse 45 in aux fuse box) so will check that fuse first.

More likely that you have a sticky indicator relay - if the fuse isnt working, then you're more likely to have no indicators at all.

96Ghia.
The rate of flash must be between 60 and 100 times a minute,so you're OK.Fuse 14 does the flashers, maybe a new flasher unit is required,up near the steering column inside.
