Ok the scorpio has a miss fire when you kick down on the gear box the revs jump between 4 and 4.5 k then changes up and all is gone away. I think the coil packs may be braking down under load as the wires to the coil packs had melted, i have used some self amalgamating tape for now but they definatly need replacing. Just wondered if anyone else had an issue similar to this.

Hi, any issue of melted wire will require immediate attention...apart from the obvious problems of low signal to sensors etc there could be the risk of fire....get it sorted asap.....steve ???

Yeah i have re-insulated the cable with high temp insulation. the fault would seem that there was excessive resistance from the plugs and it has one un-noticed for some time.
