hi all
only just brought my scorpio ;D
my problem is it only came with one key and i am always losing keys plus i need a spare set for my mate who drives the car aswell
it came with a torch key with the red spot in the end of it can i use this to programe some new keys? or will i have to take it a dealer/locksmith? :(
my scorpio is a 98 faclift ultima

I had the same problem, a ford dealer will charge you a small fortune for a new programmed key £140 !! was the quote i was given, i got one done for £65 this was in Kent if you local or willing to travel, send me a PM and i will give you the details, this guy is a locksmith and has downloaded the codes to program new keys, don't ask how this is done as i have no idea :-/ but he does not want it to be common knowledge, nudge nudge wink wink ;)
