Title: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by bryn on Feb 24th, 2009, 12:19pm Afternoon all, After reinstalling my new radio I have lost all power to the heated seats, heater blower electric seats, mirrors and sunroof. I have checked all the fuses and non were blown. Could one of the relays have gone up the chuff??? The radio now has no power or display ( This was working 30 mins before I put it back in) Does any one have any ideas??? Many thanks Bryn |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by bryn on Feb 25th, 2009, 10:05am Cheers Fella's I have once again checked all fuses this morning, aux box and main box. However I still have no heater, leccy windows, mirrors or seats. Are there any other fuse boxes inside the car that may hold the hidden key?? I tried removing the fuses from each of the inopperable options and tested but this didnt give any further light. :'( Bryn |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by lukee_cz on Feb 25th, 2009, 10:35am are you sure with fuse 8. I also thought that I tested all of that, but finally problem was on my side, I (maybe) forgot to give new fuse on position 8. it's also mentioned somewhere in history on forum. |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by Tompion on Feb 25th, 2009, 11:14am I can’t see any obvious connection between them, some need the ignition on some don’t, different fuses. You may have other things not working that may give us a clue. Possibilities that spring to mind: One of the big fuses in the Aux fusebox 60/80 amp One of the small fuses like 16 17 Maybe a common earth? Check the heated seat relay to see if it’s the feed to the relay or the feed to the seat that’s out. |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by bryn on Feb 25th, 2009, 4:14pm A bit of good news, After dissconecting/reconnecting the battery and wiggling the heater blower relay behind the glove box, I now have electric seat movement only when the ignition is switched off ( its a start like). I did a search on here regarding this problem and found that Hopper had a similar problem and related to 5 wires for the sunroof. I have attached the link to his thread below. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action=display;num=1229890623;start=1#1 Would any body know where these wires could lie as hopefully this may rectify my problem. Thanks again Bryn |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by bryn on Mar 5th, 2009, 9:15am Cheers Snoopy, That was the culprit, 2 chaffed wires and it causes chaos. Not Sure how this happened but it all works fine now. Many thanks |

Title: Re: Electric Problems Seat/Windows/Blower Post by adamn on Mar 5th, 2009, 12:08pm use OBD-2 scanner (the VE works) and read the enhanced codes from CCM module (works for me, with TriCom lead) it does monitor almost everything, I have used it for solving my deck/lid problems and right mirror motor problem (no big deal though), it can do even more (it has codes for central/double locking errors etc.). you should see all related codes to your case and then be sure about the problem. |
