checked my climate control today keep on getting error code 57. as anybody got a clue what this meens reason for checking dosnt seem to be working properly goes cold sometimes. dave

57 code is the same as an 07 code & points to a HBC problem.....http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ccreset.htm

Regarding it blowing cold, does it go from hot to cold & then hot again ? If so, have you tried a reset yet ? (in the above link)

Or does it blow cold continually ?....if so then you may have a problem with the heater matrix.

Just a point, the climate control does blow hot & cold in order to try & keep the temperature it is set at :)

thanks for that info by the way if set the blower manualy and turn the temp up to hi it is hot all the while.

I have HBC, evaporator, matrix , damper motors and control panne available ( some in my ebay if you need anything .

You can 'Test the HBC'. Go to the link JC put up and select the appropriate 'button' on the left hand side of the page. :)
