Hi!

I've just noticed that my front fog lights are dead...
The rear ones are fully working though...

I've checked the nr1 fuse and it is fine.

Where the fault can be?

bulbs? wiring? light switch?

bulbs,light switch are 100% fine... must check the wiring then, but don't have time to take the front of the car apart at the moment...
till i check it, i'd appreciate any other suggestions so i can check everything at once...

nope, i unmounted the one i have and check everything inside and everything seems fine...

Check as in test it with a multimeter and its ok?

Rear fogs and front fogs are on different circuits and use different contacts in the switch but if you've checked the switch, bulbs and fuse are ok it must be wiring

i know they use different contacts in the switch, just thought they engage the same circuit...
anyway the only thing left is the wiring... got to take off the front bumper someday...

hi there

did they ever work?

a uk ghia spec'd car didn't have front fog lights. maybe someone has fitted the fog units to your car and nnot 'wired' them up?

the handbook states r9 and r35 relays are for the fog lights.

scorpio_man, i believe they were working when i bought it 2mnths ago... i've checked everything when i was buying it.

relays were fine when i was renewing the fuse box but i'll check them again.

ps. maybe u know where can i get r5 and r14 relays? :)

i'll let you guys know how much are the relays, maybe it will be a useful info for someone...

Ok when it comes to relays you can get them from: www.fordpartsuk.com

The daytime running lights relay is 6153497 the part number is 86AG 7K057 AA
The interior lights relay is part number 81AG 14N089 CA with a finis code of 6149337

Prices shown below:
Ford Scorpio-Relay
Part Number: 6149337(81AG 14N089 CA)
Retail Price: £11.08
You Pay: £9.42

Ford Scorpio-Relay
Part Number: 6153497(86AG-7K057-AA)
Retail Price: £10.22
