hi. i have just bought a 1996 2.3 scorpio ultima. there seems to be a problem with heater fan. its the 2.3 with climate control. it wont turn of. even unpluging the power to the back of printed curcuit on controls does not stop it.i have tried resetting it but that did not work. any ideas  as to problem i would be very greatfull.

Hi & welcome,

I believe a blown fuse 17 in the main fuse box can cause this (although you’d probably have other symptoms like no interior lights or clock).

With the ribbon cable unplugged at the back of the CC panel the fan will be on at full speed.
Make sure the ribbon is fully home & latched.

hi Dave. thanks for info, i cheked fuse and its ok also ribbon is conected properly.  :(
is it possible to be the climate control unit or the hbc?
