IVANNE.
Plugs under the front seats for belt tensioners,or 'clock' spring in the steering wheel for air bag connection.

Hi Ivanne,

in my case the airbag light would irregularly come on and off; a bang on the dassh would cure it immediately.

That was pointing towards just another loose contact in Scorpio  ;D

It was in fact due all the connectors at the back of the instrument cluster being corroded for 14 years near  leaking vents. Pull them and clean them with a contact cleaner plus a contact lubricant after.

It will also cure funny temp readings and door ajar indicators flickering and trip computer not responding troubles etc. since all that is controlled from the instrument cluster's built-in microcontroller.

I manage to remove the dash fascia each time without taking the wheel off; only just. The wheel MUST be in its lowest and longest position. It takes a bit of unusual wiggling, especially back on...

HTH,
Ray
