Post by Del on Apr 20th, 2009, 10:15pm
Bought a new horn, stuck it on still didn't work, stuck and electrical meter on the power side no power to the horn fuse isn't blown any idea's???
Also my interior indicator lights are tempermental, the passenger side one on the instrument cluster doesn't work but it was working earlier and then it stopped as it did 2 weeks ago too. Both of them wern't working at one point but now right hand side is and left hand side isn't. All indicators outside are working though?

Any idea's very much apreciated.

have you checked the horn relay? the horn connection? every connection around/behind the steering wheel/instrument cluster etc...

Check the big multiplug on the drivers side fusebox is located properly.

There are two plastic pins on the end of the multiplug that lock under two lugs on the fusebox before you push it down.

Everything seems fine just no power there, does this sound like a relay or something else?

is it an auto? same noise you get when you dont leave it in P and open the door?

If it is you may have a dodgy switch, try wiggling the selector a bit then opening the door

It was in park I think but my son said it moved when he pushed it a bit so it might be in reverse, no lights left on I hope or that new battery was a waste  :D

Got a new relay today although haven't fitted it got to go to work in a bit, the horn relays are brown, white in mine but they were brown in all the scorpio's so got a few of them to make sure. I'll give it a go tomorrow lets hope it works.

Horn works, indicator lights works, but to start off with pass side windows and speakers not working, took the big plug off and cleaned that works a treat now as does the indicator light. ;D
So now it would seem that it is MOTable  :D
